The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

The Bad

  • As many of you know, we signed a lease for a building on 11th street in late October. The inside of the building needed some basic renovations which needed permits. Our wall design was ready to be released, it was exciting times! When it came down to getting the work done, the city building department tacked on well over six figures of other fees and building improvements that we did not anticipate. This was a cost beyond our budget. So we went to a handful of meetings, petitioning to every living creature in sight and were still unable to find a workaround. We paid out some more money and were able to get out of our lease.

The Good

  • We have everything lined up to build this gym except a building, which we are currently hunting for.
  • We are working with a realtor, but if you have secret knowledge of an available building with 7,500+ square feet, 16+ foot high ceilings and ample parking, please reach out and get us connected. We will give you and your family a free one year membership, a few dollops of free chalk, and free use of industrial grade toilet paper while at our facility.
  • We know this news is not easy to hear, and we are super bummed at how difficult it has been to get this project off the ground. Thank you for your continued patience as we exercise every muscle, tendon and ligament to make Wooden Mountain a reality.

Yours Truly,

The Wooden Mountain Team

In short:

  • We have a space.
  • We have a loan.
  • The walls are being designed.
